FMS Chorus

FMS Chorus is comprosed of 7th and 8th Grade students who genuinely have a love for music. These students have performed for many community and surrounding area performances and hav been accepted to perform for Disney Performing Arts at Walt Disney World the last four years. Students enrolled are exposed to all types of music genres.

Fairfield School District Honors Chorus

The Fairfield School District Honors Chorus consists of 6th- 12th grade auditioned students who have a love for singing. Th District Honors Chorus has performed for many district events and most recently performed for Education Rocks, Teacher of the Year celebration 2015. Students enrolled in the District Honors Chorus must maintain a C average.

AKAPELLA

AKAPELLA is comprised of a group of singers who love the Lord and have a love for all types of music. AKAPELLA was started back in 2005 and they have performed for many organizations, banquets, and concerts around the state of South Carolina.

AKAPELLA participants are chosen by the director.

About the Director

Alicia Graham currently is the Chorus/Theater/ ProTeam teacher at Fairfield Middle School, Winnsboro, SC. Ms. Graham holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from South Carolina State University and is currently working on her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Graham is involved in several music affiliates: members of SCMEA ( South Carolina Music Educators Association), past president of SC Baptist Music Auxiliary of Baptist E&M Convention and currently Executive Administrative Assistant of the SC Baptist Music Auxiliary; pianist for the Woman's Baptist E&M Convention and registrar. She also is the past head musician for the SC Baptist Congress of Christian Education of Baptist E&M Convention. She currently serves on the registration team of the Congress.

Ms. Graham is the Minister of Music of Zion Baptist Church, in Columbia, SC where she is oversees four choirs and a music team of musicians. She has her own group called AKAPELLA and she teaches private piano lessons to students. Recently Ms. Graham was elected 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year at Fairfield Middle School.

Ms. Graham is an advocate for the arts and believes strongly every child can be taught if given the opportunity. Ms. Graham is the only daughter of the late Dr. Lewis P. Graham, Sr. and Mary Alice Gerald Graham. She has one brother, Lewis Jr., sister-in-law Tara and one niece Madison and one nephwe Lewis III.
